BenXL has announced the release of its new Plan Setup Parameter Handling Mechanism. This is intended to ease installation into a client’s production environment. Clients now have the option of storing individual plan provisions in a self-contained database independent of the employee and employer database. This feature helps maintain different plans in an isolated secured environment, thus ensuring the integrity of all other plans. This also helps elevate a new plan into a client’s production environment without adversely affecting the production database. The process is now as easy as moving application script (bdts). Some other benefits of this new feature include:
- Increased productivity - the developer can customize a new plan without connectivity to the test or production database.
- Copying files will now automatically create backups.
- Better response time - the system does not have to access the database from the data server; instead it resides locally on the application server.
- Maintains global information in one place.
